About the Tidy Club Competition

It's pretty simple - grab your smartphone and pull your team, class or whole organisation together and shoot a Tidy Kiwi pledge video.

Don't worry about fancy, make it

Go to your organisation's favourite social media and after posting your awesome pledge video, follow Be A Tidy Kiwi, Litefoot and LoveNZ from your page.

Send us a copy of your pledge, promising to do a one-off weigh of your rubbish if you win one of the main prizes.

Here are a few examples of pledge videos. There is no need to do any of the overlays or fancy stuff - the middle video was captured on a phone. The most important thing is to include the words:

"We're tidy kiwis and we promise to put litter in its place!"

  • This competition is open to any sports club,
    community group or school residing in New Zealand.
  • The competition tasks are:
    • Have your organisation or teams within your organisation make a Be A Tidy Kiwi pledge video and submit it. Be creative!
    • Post your video pledge(s) to your organisation’s social media accounts with the #beatidykiwi, #litefoot and #lovenz hashtags and invite your members to share.
    • Have your organisation follow at least one of the Be A Tidy Kiwi social media accounts; Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
    • Have your organisation follow at least one of the Litefoot social media accounts; Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
    • Have your organisation follow at least one of the LoveNZ social media accounts; Facebook.
    • Winners of the main prizes will need to weigh the waste and the recycling from the bins on a one-off basis to allow us to measure waste diversion from landfill.
    • Winners of the main prizes will need to participate in some post competition photography/media with the new bins.
  • The main prize is a three or four way bin frame with wheely bins for your organisation. The prize is non-transferable and non-divisible. There are 10 main prizes to be won. Prizes cannot be exchanged. The wheely bins are supplied with the bin frame but club/community group must pay for installation and servicing costs. Spot prizes may be supplied at any time for any reason.
  • Multiple entries from organisations are welcome, providing they represent age groups, teams, classes or other logical divisions within the organisation. However, an organisation can only win one main prize. Entries are to be submitted to competition@beatidykiwi.nz.
  • Be A Tidy Kiwi shall not be responsible for technical errors in telecommunication networks, internet access or otherwise, preventing entry at this website.
  • Entries must be received by 11:59pm 30th August 2019. No purchase is necessary. Entries will not be returned, nor will they be removed from the website once posted.
  • Every effort will be made to notify the winners by email by 12pm 13th September 2019. Winners must respond within 14 days or an alternative winner may be chosen.
  • Submitting your entry constitutes your consent for us to use your organisation’s entry, name and photos for editorial or publicity purposes, should you be a winner.
  • The winners will be chosen by a judging panel which will be made up of one representative each from Be A Tidy Kiwi and the Packaging Forum, and Litefoot Ambassadors. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. A list of winners is available by writing to “Tidy Kiwi competition”, PO Box 15215 New Lynn, 0640
  • Be A Tidy Kiwi reserves the right to change or withdraw the competition and/or prize at any time.
  • By entering the competition, entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
